My Theory of Writing

Writing to me is expressing feelings, thoughts, ideas, opinions, and stories; basically anything you want to express. It’s a way to be yourself, be another person, and be more than one person, be whatever you want in words. Personally I chose to write about what I’m passionate about and my beliefs. And most importantly I like to share personal stories for the reader to be able to relate to. With that being said, when I read a piece of work, the writing that really catches my attention is the writing that I am able to relate to and really get a feel for. I like to be able to understand the author and where they are coming from.

Writing can do many things. It can change, create, express, it can have a purpose, and so on. With writing to create, you can create stories. Stories that are imaginary, that can come to life right before your eyes. You can create an imaginary life for the reader to dive into. You can create characters, animals, places and situations that will entice the reader and tell a story. When writing to express, you can write a poem or express how you feel on a certain topic happening in the world around us. When writing with a purpose, you can write about literally anything, the options are endless. Writing is special and can be used in many different ways.
